The Green Grocers

It is always a pleasure to call in at ‘The Greengrocers’ whether it is just for a cup of coffee, a main meal or on a a pizza evening. The food is excellent on both the main menu and the gluten free options menu . The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.

We went for lunch yesterday before picking up kids from school, was disgusted at the standard of hygiene, I’ll start with the basics of washing hands, a lot of cross contamination. The ceiling had blue paper roll stuffed into holes, you could also see a horrendous about of water damage which leads me to believe the blue paper roll was covering holes from water damage. The food was ok, wasn’t the best butchers choice but standard meal not bad price. The customer service was horrendous, we got ignored, when we finally got served we had a young lady full of attitude clearly didn’t want to be there, kind of ruined the atmosphere for us. I can’t say we will be returning as my partner felt very poorly after eating we believe due to cross contamination due to no gloves or washing of hands after dealing with meats. Definitely not celiac approved there’s no separation of the two breads. Very disappointed.
