The Greenbank Hotel

This hotel was one of the loveliest I have stayed in. The staff were all so friendly and could not do enough to help you. The room did not have a sea view but it was a lovely room and so clean. The breakfast delightful and restaurant was just lovely. My friend was coeliac and all catered for very well. Thank you to all the staff we had an amazing stay and shall be back very soon.

*updated* having stayed in the hotel my thoughts below. Cons - it was incredibly odd being in a hotel with no air conditioning. With a heat wave currently being experienced this was problematic, especially with big windows. It created a green house. The only respite was a desk fan, which wasn’t really any good. Secondly some of the carpets could use a refresh, including the interior is the lift. Pros - the above said, the hotel is very tastefully decorated throughout, great colours, very clean and neat and tidy. Wonderful little bits of history dotted around, if you care to look and fun facts on every door. Staff were very pleasant, happy and friendly, especially with my daughter and engaged really well with us and her. Nice hideaway and worth a visit! Great little place, we were in the pub. Really wonderful relaxing view across the harbour! Staff were very attentive and helpful, gluten free options were ok, again staff did a good job in helping and really set our mind as ease with their knowledge and help with this. Kids portion was huge! I really liked the “little touches” the Mayo and ketchup dishes were amazing, never seen this before and was a delight to see a new Creative idea! Great local beer! Will definitely be returning!
