The Herbfarm

Definitely not in my usual budget, but I was fortunate to have a gift card and the whole evening was downright magical. The food was FANTASTIC and very local (I didn't even know you could eat devil's club!), and despite our laundry list of intolerances, every dish we were given felt intentional and carefully crafted, not just like substitutes or consolation prizes. Best gluten-free bread I've ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the live guitar music was lovely. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

People with Celiac Disease BEWARE! We recently dined at The Herb Farm for the 100 Mile Menu. I am a Celiac with severe allergies to gluten. The restaurant claims that they can accommodate this dietary restriction without issue. However, halfway through our dinner, I had clearly been contaminated and got sick. Unfortunately, I was unable to do more than taste the rest of the remaining courses. I would expect better from a restaurant of this caliber. Additionally, nobody in our party was very impressed by the food. We have dined at The Herb Farm several years ago, and the food was much more impressive. I feel like the food may be hit and miss based on the menu. As always, the service was exceptional! They almost anticipate what you need. Someone even brought me a fan when they saw that I was hot after being contaminated. Very considerate. I will probably not be returning due to the gluten contamination.
