We called on the day and reserved a room for one night with Hilary. She was super helpful, especially as regards parking on the road opposite. We ate like kings in the restaurant. I had the duck and baked peaches. Both gluten-free and both delicious. There was a roaring fire and radiator turned up to max, but unless you're sitting nearby, I'd wear some warmer clothes while we're in this cold snap. Be sure to walk up and down the main street to windowshop some beautiful art, jewellery, and local food and drink. And don't forget to visit the 15th Century church. We particularly enjoyed a visit to Nutmeg and Thyme, the local GF/vegan shop & café.
