We visited just for lunch, and so glad we did!
We were warmly welcomed by staff, who even seemed happy we were there! But it was definitely a busy day with a wedding happening in the function room. Despite this, the service was unwavering. Everyone was lovely.
The place itself is gorgeous. Beautiful setting and interiors to match. I bet it's lovely in the winter with a fire going!
Then the food...wow! My husband had a cheese and onion pie, and I had fish and chips which could be made gluten-free (there were quite a few options that were either GF or could be adapted). It was no fuss to make it GF, and it was delicious!
Prices were fair and food was hot and fresh. For that, and the amazing service, I cannot recommend enough! Will be back (and maybe even for a night's stay).
