New South Indian restaurant in the area and already the best we have. Authentic home cooked taste, great range of gluten free foods and very friendly people. Even the drinks are reasonably priced. We only hope it makes it, as so many don't.

We have just had the most delicious family meal here! The restaurant is clean, attractive, and has no steps to access it. The staff are friendly and helpful, willing to discuss which sides go best with the main courses etc. The Lentil doughnuts were a delight! None of us has had them before and they were a wonderful surprise. They are served with three dips, a lentil soup, tomato and coconut chutneys. Between us, we tried a good selection from the menu. I was thrilled to find that there were a lot of gluten free options. I had Butter Chicken and Lemon Rice. The chicken was clearly freshly cooked, succulent and tasty. The sauce was rich and creamy deliciousness. The Lemon Rice is freshly cooked, tossed with lemon juice, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried chillies. My husband had the Kerala Lamb, and Kallapam, which are amazing pancakes, (made with fermented rice and coconut batter.) He thoroughly enjoyed it all. The other three main courses were; Alleppo Fish Mango curry with plain rice and Pallappam pancakes, (yeast fermented rice batter, soft and fluffy); Kothu Paratha with chicken; Chef's Special Dosa with Garlic and Cheese Paratha. These were all fantastic, clearly freshly cooked, with fresh ingredients. We tried some cocktails, which are very well priced, and an Indian lager. The meal was finished off by being given hot towels to wipe faces and fingers. I can't recommend it strongly enough. I will be visiting again soon, and often, I hope.
