The Italiano

Our first time visiting The Italiano was such a great experience. I had the linguini with clams and as someone with a gluten allergy they were able to swap out the linguini with a gluten free penne. The atmosphere is wonderful with a pianist that plays live music.

Very large Italian restaurant with a huge amount of people. Very loud inside and hardly any room to walk in the front door. My daughter is gluten-free and they did have gluten-free pasta options, but my daughter said it was not amazing tasting and the penne noodles fell apart into tiny noodle mush. Not the best GF noodles she has had. Our waiter was impatient and irritated about something else and spent very little time with us, I think he had a problem with another employee or a table. We did the charcuterie cart and all of the options were very good! It was a lot of fun and the guy in charge of the cart was a blast to talk to! Luckily, we were sitting at one of the very few tables that the cart could come up to. Normally the tables have to walk up to the cart because it’s so tight filled with tables. We heard about the lemon cello, but our server never mentioned it to us and since he was in a mood, we just decided to leave without asking about it. My husband had the Parmesan crusted steak and it was incredible tasting. The short rib raviolis were delicious. We would probably come back and try other options.
