My first experience in The Ivy In The Lanes was amazing! We went for breakfast and was served by David. His service was 5 star. I am gluten intolerant and he went to so much effort to make sure the food was safe for me and still top class. Will definitely be returning.

I went to the Ivy with such excitement and high expectations and it only half filled those to be honest. I came as newly gluten free and I must admit the online allergen menu with filters is super useful but it's quite disheartening when you realise how much immediately gets cut out of the menu. Nevertheless, I had the shepherd's pie. It was very nice, but VERY small. I ordered Olives which took ages to turn up, however my friends sourdough turned up very promptly and looked and smelt lovely. Service was average, I definitely felt like they forgot about us on quite a few occasions. Not sure I'll go back, but worth a trip.

Afternoon tea, extremely disappointed. Bread was dry, scones hard not impressed with cake choices or lack of choice. Gluten free member of party was saddened by lack of inclusivity, reduced amount of food but expected to pay same price. GF brownie - awful. Would not return. Expensive for what it was.
