The Kings Arms Hotel

The rooms were great, everything you could need, clean and tidy mattress was really comfy, my partner even said better than a Premier Inn bed. Ensuite bathroom was nice and clean as well. The fact that it's dog friendly as well is awesome, they even keep a jar of dog treats on the front desk. The bar is lovely, very cosy and good pricing. Breakfast was included and they were able to cater for gluten free as I'm coeliac, adapting the menu to make beans on toast which was really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and served in the conservatory which was beautifully decorated. The location was great, close walk to everything. The only thing that would have made it better was parking. Overall a really great stay, would definitely recommend.

Been here a couple of times for food. Service can sometimes be a bit slow however, staff are always friendly. It is dog friendly, lots of dog walkers come in with their dogs which is nice to see. Food is good quality, cooked and presented well. Wish the menu had slightly simpler sandwiches/toasties (such as cheese & ham) as I don't always want a big meal. They have a somewhat semi-decent gluten free menu. From what I've seen it's the best locally so very good if you're gluten free.
