The Lighthouse

A late night craving turned into one really special experience. Last night post a concert we wanted some pudding to round out our evening and decided to stop in at the Lighthouse. It turns out that the proprietors were not only happy to serve us but made fresh gluten free and regular sticky toffee puddings, the best coconut ice cream we’ve had in a long time and various other wonderful treats. We didn’t leave for more than an hour as other friends joined us and they were just the most warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed the house blend whiskey too. Highly recommend, just wished we’d come for dinner!

We had a lovely meal at this delightful restaurant. The service was excellent and there was a good choice of dishes, all set in a cosy atmosphere. The fish pie and calves' liver & bacon were superb, as was the gluten-free sticky toffee pudding. The meal was also very good value. Gareth & Julie

A pleasant meal. Food was nice enough and staff friendly. A few gluten free options available just be aware the chips are not gluten free despite being told they were, as they are cooked in a shared fryer.
