The Marquis Wellington

Really impressed and highly recommend for great beer and food. We booked a table for 6 on a Saturday night. We all had different dishes and all were great. Gluten free options and gluten free chips as well, always a winner! Liver and bacon especially delicious. Staff knowledge and helpful. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. Well worth a visit if in the area or visiting DeMontfort Hall or 02 Academy.

The service was poor, the pub was almost empty we ordered food for 5 people one being a child ,who was not given a childs menu , we waited for just over an hour for our food with no explanation why , we complained and recieved a complementary drink ,fair enough but had we not kept asking for our food god only knows how long it would have took to get it. Also we were asked if we wanted to open a tab if so could they have a card , so I gave them a card which I had to ask for it back as they keep it on the back of the bar until you leave!!!!!!! I asked if the bun was gluten free burger that came with the burger ,as stated on the menu, yes I was told. Lol it certainly was as there wasn't a bun in sight. Won't eat there again staff are stroppy too.
