Melrose Grill definitely lived up to expectations. Their menu was obviously steak with seafood options but I was pleased to see creative specials like a bison steak and stroganoff. From a gluten free perspective, steak and seafood is always a pretty safe bet. Their sides mostly appeared gluten free except maybe the pilaf. I didn't ask as I got the baked potato which was delicious.
Only thing that knocked off a star was that my steak was over cooked. I usually order medium well (I know, I am ruining my steak) but it came out well done. I had even asked it to be towards the medium side. For a steakhouse I was a bit surprised by that. It was still good but would have been better if cooked the way I ordered.
