As a treat for my 83rd birthday my husband booked a short stay at the Midland Hotel in Morecombe the filming location for the Poirot tv series this Art Deco building is an amazing architectural experience. Staff were welcoming and very helpful always with a smile. Cannot praise everyone enough. Being gluten intolerant I had a wide choice of menu. Our rooms on the 3rd floor were clean and comfortable with complementary drinks. The view across the Bay from our balcony we watched the changing tides and weather. A lift is available but standing at the base of the spiral art deco stairs and gazing up is a view not to be missed. Special winter offers are available. Morecombe has a wide promenade, a book shop with winding aisles crammed with hundreds of books, a statue tribute to Eric Morecombe and the most tasty shrimps from Edmondsons. We had the most most wonderful visit.
