Don’t miss it!! The Milking Parlour is about 20 metres off the beaten track (down the hill from the castle gate in Clitheroe) and it’s well worth searching out. It’s ideal for purchasing a delightful ice cream before a wander around the town centre or a stroll in the adjacent castle park.
There is a whole wide range of ice creams and sorbets, including those to suit specialist diets like dairy free or gluten free. The milk comes from a local farm, and makes the ice cream taste particularly rich.
The staff are friendly and helpful. ♿️Access to the premises is all one one level and suitable for those with restricted abilities. There is no seating or toilet facilities on the premises but of plenty public seats and toilets nearby. Highly recommended.
