We travel thru Suffolk frequently traveling from Ashland, VA to Hertford, NC. We were looking for a celiac friendly restaurant for my wife and decided to try Mod Olive. The food was great, portions were huge, and there were many options for my wife. Also, Kyle was an outstanding server! We will visit often!

I ordered the Rueben on gluten free bread. The meat was dried out (like leather). It was nearly impossible to cut or chew. The bread was the best part of the meal and the coleslaw was very good. Extremely disappointing experience overall. The waiter never checked on us once he delivered the food after a really long wait. There was no coffee made and he didn’t offer to make some.
