The Montagu Arms Hotel

We had the pleasure of getting married at The Montagu Arms Hotel on 17/05/25. We were looking for an intimate venue for a small number of guests, and the Oakwood Room was perfect. The hotel has lots of character and is beautifully and tastefully decorated, we felt at home as soon as we walked in! The staff on every visit have been very attentive and accomodating, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Hazel Suite, one of the courtyard rooms, the night before and night of the wedding. The room was modern, but still charming with everything you would expect from a luxury stay. It was also a good size for wedding preparations. Clara and her team did a wonderful job with arranging and executing our dream wedding. The food and drink was excellent and they catered effortlessly for the two coeliacs in the wedding party. The staff also offered to make anything from the breakfast menu gluten free too, so absolutely no concerns. All in all, we would highly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel, and will look forward to returning next year to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary!

The Montegue Arms Hotel is exceptional, perfect in every way with awesome staff from front entrance right through to dining and the cleanliness..1st class. The personal touches were lovely, like the little milk bottle in the fridge, the gluten free biscuits in the drawer, the coffee machine and free gin, but the letter left for us on our bed and the welcome from a lovely Spanish receptionist-front of house made it such a welcoming experience. A stunning beautiful hotel with several types of rooms and suites available, a gorgeous terrace area and great bar, right through to Montys restaurant across the courtyard, it was perfect 🥰 I didn't want to leave. I love everything about this hotel and I will definitely return very soon. Well priced for the luxury and attention you receive in return. Breakfast was awesome and made even better, if that was possible, by Mark, who was our morning front of house.. we thought his attention to detail and his professionalism were exemplary in every way.
