The Monte Carlo

The patio is kind of cute but service was really slow. I definitely attribute this to the fact that the servers seemed understaffed. Our server was super nice either way. The drinks were good, not amazing but good. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and my dietary restrictions (gluten intolerant) they were kind enough to make adjustments to my dishes. The food was good as well. Would return!

This is a gem of a place. Tucked into a great spot in the North Loop, The Monte Carlo is classy and classic, with a casual, non-pretentious atmosphere. The menu is short and is the same for lunch and dinner but offers a wide-range of options to suit any taste. The bartender, Nate, is an excellent ambassador for the restaurant. His service was second to none, warm and welcoming. The Cajun chicken sandwich was flavorful and juicy. The potato salad is scratch-made deliciousness. The Monte Carlo has an excellent, large patio for ample outdoor seating. There are also many options for gluten-free folks (as I overheard from an accommodating server).
