The Monument

We went to the Monument for lunch today and loved it. As a coeliac, I could eat most things on the menu and the allergens menu on the back was really clear. I felt really confident to eat here. The food was great - I had falafel to start and veggie tagine with rice for my main. Both were delicious! The drinks options are fab and there was even had gluten free beer. My partner had the lamb burger and loved it. He loved that the the dishes are homemade, produce is local and has great flavour. We'll definitely be back :)

Service not that great. Ordered gluten free dish , it came with normal bread .. Just felt staff were more interested congregating at the bar area chatting to each other. Had to ask for menus as left sitting ! Guy on till couldn't seem to print me a receipt for our meal , honestly , shoddy service . Food ok. Felt it was bit pricey ..would I go back ? No . Canterbury has much better places for vegans and vegetarians alike . ...
