everything was amazing today. Our server was very professional and knew his stuff. I asked about Gluten free and he verified everything with the kitchen staff. One of the best old fashioned drinks I have had in a while. Portion sizes were perfect, not too much to eat. Food was all top notch and would love to come here again sometime.

The Oceanaire offers unique seaside ambiance while enjoying fresh seafood in downtown Minneapolis. We’re privileged to have this top voted seafood restaurant – nationally – right here for us. We learned that to provide such a wide selection of fish and oysters, they have daily delivery from around the world. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable to answer our questions and guide us through the long list of menu items. They also provide many wines to select from to complement whatever dish you choose. Having been there now multiple times, my top recommendation is to order several of the oysters. They come with two exceptional dipping sauces. We also ordered a side of crusty bread to enjoy the sauces once the oysters had been consumed. I think they serve the very best Clam Chowder in town. The Shellfish Mixed Grill is excellent – my lobster tail was large and done to perfection. The Chesapeake Bay Crab Cake was barely warm; I’d have preferred it hot. The Wild Alaska Halibut and Chilean sea bass are very good. We were surprised that the breadcrumb fish is actually rather pain when it comes to flavor. We mostly tasted breadcrumbs and basic seasoning but nothing striking. Their Signature Oceanaire Cocktail is very colorful; I liked the ginger and lime juice in but prefer leaving the banana syrup out. If someone in your party is Celiac or looking for gluten-free options, we saw them on the menu. Desserts are absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend the Alaska Bombe with Bacardi rum and Grand Marnier – no one could have served it better. If you are ready to pay for fabulous service, The Oceanaire will not disappoint. There are parking ramps in the areas since most street side parking spots had a 2-hour limit. With the walk there, meeting our friends, being seated, that felt a bit rushed for dining time. Our friends used the valley service and we found that they parked the Royals Royce conveniently just outside the front door.
