Highlights:
EXCELLENT pizza, but the lack on online presence is frustrating and the service feels amateur. Well worth a visit, but be prepared to wait if you're not getting take-out.
The good:
I got a Caesar salad (delicious) and a 1/2 Cheeseburger 1/2 Taco pizza. They were both fantastic, but the Cheeseburger pizza was the real star of the show, like an 11/10. I know that sounds sacrilegious, but trust me: you've gotta try it. I've heard the dough is egg-free. I saw options to swap for cauliflower crust if you're gluten free or keto. I didn't see any option for vegan folks.
Needs improvement:
I couldn't find a website or any web presence for the life of me. I'm told there's a Facebook, but I don't have Facebook. I had to look at other folks' reviews to see a menu before going in and hope it was still accurate.
The service was friendly, but felt very DIY family-owned, like front of house staff hadn't worked the industry prior to opening this spot last year. The service was slow because their timing was off. One example: I first ordered my salad and said needed a minute to look at the pies. My decent-sized salad was dropped off and I had time to finish the entire thing and continued to sit for a few minutes before placing my pizza order. Then I sat and waited for that to be made. It wasn't a bad experience per say; the staff was eager and friendly, but experienced servers would know to check in and ask for the pizza order when the salad was dropped off. The place was mostly empty, but the server seemed a little stressed even with only four tables to wait on. I saw staff attempt to refill a table's full waters five minutes after they were served them and they hadn't even ordered food yet. I think this business would benefit from hiring an experienced FOH manager.
Overall: Piehole Pizzeria, you were delicious and I'm rooting for you.
