The Place Above the Notch

This is always a "must stop" for us every time we pass through Bethlehem. Legit New York Bagels (in New Hampshire) with spruced-up cream cheese options using fresh veggies, home made muffins and pastries (including gluten free options), the proprietors have a genuine friendliness about them AND the coffee is spot on as well!

I’d wager money you’ll never find a sweeter couple than Angie & Steve who own/run this adorable and eclectic coffee shop. I worked here for 3 days because they made me feel so welcome. This little shop will soon be the home of a remote-workers dream. Angie had a dream to renovate the back and create a remote-working-coop of sorts. Her husband Steve, who bragged about “his wife’s place” dozens of times, is hard at work creating the space she dreamed of. I highly recommend the spiced chai or go for a latte with their pistachio or hazelnut flavor. They proudly serve NY Bagels each weekend and offer the most delicious gluten-free blueberry muffin ever. It’s not often I get to actually enjoy gf breads. This was delightful.
