The Plough Inn

Lovely staff. Lovely food. Great Gluten free main meals.

My Wife and I met 15 friends for lunch at the Plough and not one of us could find a fault. Our food was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. My Wife, who is coeliac, can not eat anything containing wheat, oats or gluten, but the waitress who took our orders was knowledgeable about what she could have and what to avoid. On a couple of occasions, when our waitress did not know how to answer a question, she went back to the kitchen, to find out. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she remained happy and friendly and even told us that they were starting up a deep fat fryer, specifically for my Wife's food, to avoid cross contamination. This restaurant has set the bar very high and I wish others would just try to look after customers this way. After the main meal, the waitress made up a dessert just for my Wife and even made bananas in custard for one of our friends, although it wasn't on the menu! A fantastic experience today, which means we will be heading back to the Plough just as soon as we can! Thank you to everyone there, for a brilliant lunch.
