We visited The Porch House for a Mother’s Day lunch. We’ve been before and the service has always been good but on this occasion it was below par. The waiter told us on arrival that ‘there isn’t much food left’ and then listed off all the items on the menu that weren’t available! When I sympathised and suggested it had been a busy Mother’s Day service he said ‘no, it’s like this every week’! I had the gluten free burger which was served on a rock hard bun that I suspect had been languishing in the bottom of the GF cupboard for some time. For balance, the ambience is always good and the staff are very friendly and engaging. We’ll go back, but they do need to sort out their food stocks for busy Sundays. The owner’s reply below is appreciated and to reiterate it’s a great restaurant… just a bit below par this time round. 😀

The food was delicious, with multiple gluten-free options, but it did take quite a while to get out to us. Street parking was hard to find, so we used the Maugersbury Road Car Park that was just a short walk down the road.
