I discovered this pub through the FindMeGF app. As a celiac, it can be difficult finding good, and imaginative, food that is safe for me to eat. The Red Lion did not disappoint! Bountiful choices were available on their menu, including battered fish and chips; a turkey, ham and leek pie; and Bakewell tart (the dishes we tried). Sound mundane? No. For example, they paired the warm tart with a crisp apple sorbet and mincemeat! The combination of sweet and tart, warm and cold... Don't hesitate to try this place. The food, service, and ambiance could not be faulted today.
