The Roman Camp Inn

Two friends & myself booked here for afternoon tea. We were so impressed with everything. My friend has a dairy/soya/gluten intolerance, so we were not sure what to expect. We didn't need to worry. She had finger sandwiches, made with gluten free bread, scones with jam & alternative cream & other small cakes. Her food looked just like ours and it was all so nicely presented & tasty too. There was a lovely table cloth with place settings & a 3 tier cake stand for each of us with china plates, tea cups & saucers. Also endless pots of tea. In fact, everything you would expect from an afternoon tea. We sat in the new Glass House, which was lovely, overlooking a beautiful view. The staff were very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed it & we all highly recommend it. As an end note, we paid by card but couldn't tip the waitress as their tips are cash only & we had no cash. I will pop one in next time I pass. So if you go & would like to tip, take some cash.

A large bar and restaurant with outdoor dining, food was excellent, especially the triple desserts and burgers including gluten free options.
