The Rosa Restaurant

We love Rosa's. The food is always excellent and authentic. Gluten free penne pasta is undetectable from traditional. The house salad will make you ask; "How do they do this?". Atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting. Great service too. Remember if they are busy it's because they are GOOD!

Stopped at Rosa while driving around Portsmouth after drive from Boston- and took a chance on restaurant never been to before having been coming to Portsmouth for many years - Im used to North End Italian in Boston which I consider gold standard- Rosa delivered a superb meal - we ordered Gluten free pasta - red pepper cream penne - and Roasted vegetable Cannelloni and cup of minestrone soup- excellent! I judge restaurants by simple question - would I come back again? - its a definitive - and given fact they just opened in Oct during a pandemic I would hope Portsmouth people will support the owners who had courage to open - you have a great Italian restaurant in old historic building- enjoy and good luck to owners- we will return for great food and to support you!
