The Royal and Fortescue Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel as part of a coach holiday with Jason Edwards Travel. The hotel is in a central location and the rooms are spacious and modern. The food was absolutely delicious and dietary requirements are well catered for. As a vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the choices - the vegan breakfast and dark chocolate sphere for dessert at dinner were definitely highlights. A member of our group was gluten free too and his requirements were taken seriously and options provided. There were plenty of compliments on the food from other members of the group too. The staff were also friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Clean room and friendly staff. They have put up screens in the dining room in order to maintain social distance and the English breakfast I am told was good. They had gluten free bread cereal and yoghurt, which I was very pleased about. I left my iPad when I moved on and they helpfully posted it back to my home address when I contacted them. Thank you to all the staff there.
