The Royal Hotel

First visit to The Royal just a short break, and stayed in one of the standard rooms which was surprisingly very roomy. Everything from the room to public areas spotless comfortable and welcoming. We stayed on a Bed breakfast and evening meal basis, which brought us into contact with a variety of staff, who without exception were friendly efficient, and seemed to be enjoying their work. We had heard that the restaurant served good food and were not disappointed. The menu offered a choice of about 6 mains, and one daily special, as well as catering for gluten free and vegetarian choices. The quality and presentation were excellent. Look forward to a return stay. Followed up with a return visit and we’re not disappointed.!

Lovely. Gluten free afternoon tea was fab. Staff went the extra mile treating us to a prosecco cocktail making it extra special for us as we had just got married.
