The Royal Victoria Hotel

Disappointed that gluten-free dinners could only be purchased at the bar, and not in the restaurant. However, I was very impressed with the separate gluten-free breakfast stand and range of options. Staff were friendly and polite.

I stayed here for 2 nights as I was working nearby and enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable, the carpet and furniture seemed relatively new, and tea/coffee was well stocked. My room also had a lovely view, and a seat under the window which was nice to sit and read. The only thing that let it down slightly was that some of the surfaces in the room were dusty. Some parts of the hotel are a little tired, but there were renovations being done whilst I was there. There aren't many signs around the hotel, and I had to wander around a bit to find my room- as did some other people I spoke to in the corridor. The staff at the hotel were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was enjoyable, and I noticed that there were gluten free bread and cereals available also. There is lots of parking, and it is very convenient to visit Snowdon or walk around the local area- there is a castle a short walk away. I would definitely stay again next time I am visiting this area
