The Runaway Spoon has new owners & new staff; has been totally renovated - new tables & everything. Pleasant surprise & modern looking.
One thing I don’t like about the new arrangements, is the seating around the tables.
You are squashed together with very little or no elbow room due to the position of table legs. There were 8 of us & the four people at the ends, didn’t have a proper length of table in front of them. the table was too short.
The food is good & plentiful, they have kept most of the menu as it was from the previous owners with some improvements. Everyone enjoyed the lunch, the only negative about the food was …… too much - the steak sandwich & hamburgers, but😋. Some of the food can be turned into Gluten free options + several GF meals. Two of us are GF.
It’s great for groups for everyone can pay for their own meals individually. Saves a lot of headaches at the end.
