The Sandy Cove Hotel

We came here with a couple of friends who have property nearby. The location is superb, absolutely stunning. We were having a meal in the bistro and had booked in advance. .we had a lovely table inside, overlooking the sea. We all chose a variety of dishes. My vegan gluten free pizza was tasty.my husband had a salad which looked good but seemed a bit small for a main course.. Service was friendly and prompt. The only thing that spoiled our experience was a large group that I suspect were guests from an earlier wedding. They were on a table nearby. They were finishing their desserts when we arrived. They were very loud, but we thought they would soon be finished.so we didn't complain. However they got louder and just kept ordering drinks.one guy had clearly had too much to drink. There were a few children who were part of the group who were running around, we kept having to stop eating a few times as they wanted to cut past our already squeezed in table. We ended up asking them to stop interrupting us , this included the adults in the party It was a shame that they weren't encouraged to move to the lounge area to finish drinking and carry on socialising. It really spoiled our evening. Lovely place overall .Just a ruined evening for us

Food was excellent with plenty of gluten free options. Dogs are allowed outside on the terrace and in the bar (although you don't get any views from the bar), service was great. Excellent value for money and Doombar on draft so the other half was very happy. Would highly recommend and will be back!
