A lovely cafe, staff show they are a team, friendly atmosphere, however Coeliacs needing a strict gluten free meal need to be cautious. I ordered the chia pudding -listed on menu as gluten free and told our server about being Coeliac -I had to explain what that meant, but they were very young and they did listen and write it down carefully to communicate to the kitchen. Unfortunately the pudding came out with a carmelised oat topping.... Oats have a gluten protein. To their credit I bought it up and it was exchanged for a fresh one, but the menu holds some other clues that gluten contamination risk may be higher than acceptable for some eg. Chips are not gluten free, but the gluten free salad has fried kale -a small cafe is not likely to keep separate gluten and gluten free fryers so it is hard to navigate fried items being listed as gluten free when gluten containing items are also fried. Along with the oat mistake, unfortunately a food allergen safety refresher might be needed
