The Soulful Steep

We spent Halloween @ Soulful Steep with regulars and local patrons of this tea/bakery/boutique fever dream. We tried the cake flight and were not fans, it doesn't mean you won't be, just wasn't for us. A lot of gluten/sugar free and vegan options as well as regular options. A LOT of options. They are big on teas. A LOT OF TEAS. We were there for coffee and it didn't meet our standards for coffee. Having said that, we enjoyed our time. We felt like a local, we felt part of a community within a community. We had a reading with a tarot reader. Toured the salt cave room. Took part of the open mic night, pet many puppies and people watched. I give this place 4 stars as we came for coffee which weren't up to our standards but we stayed for an experience that delivered.

Nestled at 122 N Flagler Ave, this charming tea house / coffee house / bakery / emporium isn’t just a café—it’s an experience. The ambiance is pure bliss: eclectic, colorful, artful—every corner bursts with creativity, vintage charm, and hippie vibes that inspire peace and relaxation. Scented soaps, crystals, mismatched seating, and whimsical décor make you feel at home, yet transported to a dreamlike sanctuary. The menu is equally delightful. Over 60 organic teas, expertly brewed coffees, and specialty drinks like the dreamy Blue Lotus Lavender Latte won me over immediately. And the baked goods? Empanadas, cookies, muffins—available in vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free options—are crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Im addict d to the empanadas. One of the highlights: the Himalayan Salt Cave. This serene "Zen Den" invites you to recline, breathe in the salty air, and let go of stress—literally a soul reset. The owners—Christina & John—have clearly poured their hearts into making this place a sanctuary for kindred spirits. Their creative touches—from the peaceful salt cave to the gift emporium featuring local artisanal treasures, handmade jewelry, and quirky décor—reflect a genuine passion for community and well-being. To top it all off, The Soulful Steep hosts live music, DJ nights spinning classic vinyl, manifestation writing sessions, and free concerts on the patio—adding rhythm and connection to your visit. In short: This place is a rare gem. It’s cozy, creative, heartwarming—and offers so much more than your average café. It’s a sanctuary for the soul, a community hub, and a vessel for pure joy. Highly, highly recommend The Soulful Steep for anyone craving comfort, creativity, good vibes, and unforgettable sips (and treats!). I'll definitely be back for that salt-cave serenity—and whatever soulful surprise awaits next.

I have been fortunate to know about this hidden gem and its beautiful owners since it's opening last year - but last night was my first Friday night DJ spinning Vinyl night and today I went back for my first salt cave experience. Within minutes inside the cave - I felt my anxiety melt away and my busy mind found peace & quiet. I would highly recommend trying it! And be sure go hungry and thirsty - there is literally something for everyone. From the hot or cold teas and coffees to the wide range of hot meals and decadent deserts (there are even tasty treats for dogs!) Everything is mouth watering good and worth every penny! The Crab Cakes with Scalloped potatoes were divine - we also tried the Dubai chocolate cake, Ginger Carrot cake and Gluten free carrot cake. All of the deserts tasted delicious and freshly made. 5star experience all around - we are so lucky to have this place in South Florida ❤️
