I ate at the Galveston location last night, I’ve been here several times with no issues or complaints but last night was by far the worse experience I’ve had and has made me never want to go back unfortunately.
I sat outside and had a phenomenal waitress who took her time and did her best in handling the situation.
I have a food allergy that was told to the waitress she brought me a Gluten Free menu and made sure she added in a gluten allergy to even item I ordered, well we ordered the spinach artichoke dip with the allergy alert. We were given a spinach artichoke dip with breadcrumbs on top of it, we asked for a manager because the food runner couldn’t tell us if it was gluten free or not. The manager Juan came to the table and assured me it was gluten free. I ate it because I was assured it be safe.. well he comes back moments later and says “I was mistaken those were breadcrumbs”
Took the dip and I explained how his lack of knowledge put me in a dangerous situation as I’m severely allergic.
He brushed us off and never came an apologized to us or tried to make it right at all!!!
Our server was phenomenal she went to the kitchen manager and explained the situation and my allergy to the kitchen to ensure I would be safe for the rest of my meal as we had already waited 1hr for food. I chose to take my food Togo as I was not feeling well at all. I ended up sick in their bathroom. I went home and have been dealing with the side affects of being essential poisoned at this establishment.
I am very unpleased by the manager Juan who didn’t have the ability to understand or care about our situation!!
