Wow! Came for a roast with a large group. Sunday lunch menu has the choice of starters, mains and dessert with a good variety of meat, fish and veggie options. £22 for 2 course or £28 for 3. Starters were generous and tasty, I had garlic mushrooms with a poached egg which was excellent. Roasts were pork or beef both of which were excellent, beautifully cooked and high quality. The roast potatoes were the best I have ever had in a resturant, cauliflower cheese was great and the rest of the veg was cooked perfectly. Gravy was rich and tasty. Portions were generous. Great range of beers and wines, tribute ale was spot on and the sauternes to round off the meal was perfectly chilled and delicious and a very good price. Gluten free friendly too, with most dishes being offered as gluten free or gluten free option. Can't wait to get back there, my friend highly recommends the steak Alfredo as part of the evening menu. Staff were professional and polite and dealt with our requests well.
