The Steamhouse Depot

This was my first visit to the Steamhouse depot in Leamington Spa, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The experience started off on a shaky note when one of the diners mentioned having a sesame allergy. The only options provided were three items from the entire menu: gluten bread, sausage, and eggs. It seemed like the kitchen wasn't comfortable serving anything else, which limited their choices. To make matters worse, we were served the wrong drinks initially. When the food finally arrived, there were several issues. Some of the orders arrived at different times, and most of them were either cold or missing entirely. Despite our repeated requests and waiting, the remaining sides arrived 15 minutes later, but they weren't cooked properly. The dish that had been carefully selected to accommodate the allergy restriction arrived late and was incorrect, so it had to be sent back to the kitchen. On the second attempt, after another 15-minute wait, it was not only burnt but also incorrect. It took four people and an additional 10 minutes to arrange a refund. Considering the restaurant was moderately busy and fully staffed, there really is no excuse for such a disappointing experience. The quality of the food was extremely poor, especially considering the prices charged. It was possibly the worst brunch I've had in a very long time. However, I must mention that the atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable, and the desserts looked enticing.

Great food, however slow service and no gluten free cakes.
