The Talbot

What a great find. Portions here are insanely generous. Booked ahead for Sunday lunch, had a wonderful table downstairs next to the bar. Very apt at catering for gluten free, alternative bread was great for starters, and I felt I had plenty of choices. Highlight of the meal was the festive oven baked Camembert with cranberry - absolutely phenomenal. Fish and chips was too large to eat it all, though I did try, and friends all had roasts which looked incredible, again, generous portion sizes. Staff were great. Felt thoroughly taken care of, and very dog friendly inside with treats available for furry friends! Parking at Broad St car park is free, and very conveniently close.

Fabulous evening spent at the Talbot, wonderful food (including a good gluten free selection), brilliant service and very nice decor. I can't believe I've not been here before but will definitely be coming back again.
