The Santa Fe Teahouse is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch while exploring Canyon Road and the historic Eastside. The London Fog teas are incredible (try the Santa Fe fog) and the gluten free scones are the best I've ever had. The whole menu is great and the staff are lovely.

I have been coming to the Teahouse for 30 years. It has always maintained the same level of great food and an amazing selection of teas and other beverages. Plus I could always count on many really good gluten free options. It was one of my favorite places to go. Until now. I understand the owner tragically passed away suddenly this year and his business partners took over the running of the restaurant. It’s heartbreaking what they have done here. They completely changed the menu and took off every good item I came here for. They took the menu in a completely different direction from interesting comfort food to a very limited menu of mostly Asian/Mexican offerings. And the teas! I don’t know how you can screw up tea but they managed to do it. Both my companion and I ordered different black iced teas and they came out cloudy and bitter. Never in all the years I’ve come here has that happened before. The food I finally settled on - a citrus salad and a burrata/pesto special- was ok but overpriced for what we got. In the end I sadly will not come back here unless the new owners come to their senses and put it back the way it was. There’s a lot of talk around town of people feeling the same way and no longer frequenting this place so hopefully they get it. Not holding my breath on that but they’ve lost another customer, I’m not coming back.

I’ve been going to the Teahouse for almost 15 years. It was always my go to spot for a great lunch, pozole, paninis with the heart gluten free bread I’ve ever had, yummy iced tea and chai, and of course the gluten free rotating flavors scones. Went back a few months ago and the service was horrible, and the menu was too. All my favorite things gone and off the menu. As a business owner myself, I don’t understand why you’d mess with what works so well, removing items that you are known and paid for. The food was awful and I will not be back. I’ve been talking to friends around town and they ALL agree. PLEASE bring our old menu!
