The last time I sat down at the Townhouse Restaurant, it was still in the center of that intersection in downtown Oviedo in that old yellow building. Way too long ago. Stopped by today and the girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I had the Hashslingers Special with Corned Beef Hash, 2 eggs, and cheddar grits. She had the Kitchen Sink omelette with loaded home fries, and the sweet potato slices to make it gluten friendly. The corned beef hash could have been crispier, but I wasn't complaining as it was still just as good as I remember. The eggs and grits were cooked perfectly, and she enjoyed every last bite of that massive omelette. I recommend the sweet potato slices as they were tasty and a great idea for a gluten-free substitution for toast/bread. It may not be the "old" townhouse, but they hung on to the history and culture of Oviedo π and we left very satisfied as far as the food goes!
