The Tropic

It is unfortunate that the lowest you can rate someone is 1 star, equally so, in this situation it is unfortunate that there are only 5 stars as a maximum when this place definitely earned 7 in every respect today for our lunchtime experience. The majestic setting and gorgeous maritime views just wrapped our meal in the warm fuzzies that it respectfully commanded . Being one half of a chef couple, neither of us could fault a thing on our plates and the casual yet highly attentive service from our waiter , James , was incredibly knowledgeable. Most of the menu either was already or could be prepared gluten free, much to the delite of my wife who is a coeliac. We had the freshest snapper ever and the tastiest tuna and avocado I have had the pleasure to consume. I highly recommend this place to dine, for any occasion.

Wow what can I say, the setting out on the deck with waves rolling in, sun and salt air the view down to Surfers alone just feeds the soul. We all had the King prawns in a Garlic herb sauce and me being a coeliac they were very accommodating with Gluten Free options. I had the yummiest GF bread warm straight from the oven. The Cocktails were divine and the service on point. Felt like I was on holiday :-) Can't recommend enough!
