The Waterfront Gastropub

It's certainly mostly pubfair, but every dish has something slightly special about it. Staff are fun and always in a good mood. It's certainly isn't a high end restaurant, and it doesn't pretend to be. But portions are great, it's always cooked well, and it's the kind of place that will be a weekly regular for most people. I do think there is an opportunity to offer more gluten-free menu items. Currently the only offer things that could be replaced with a gluten-free bun. They could easily replace pasta, offer some gluten-free chicken wings, perhaps a gluten-free pizza. They need more than sandwiches as gluten-free mains A bunch of stir fried vegetables with chicken or beef or pork, assuming only fresh ingredients and no premix seasoning, is it really cheap way to add gluten-free menu options. This is more of a suggestion but the staff do what they do very well

We wanted to celebrate today as it is my cousin through marriage's (1st cousins wife's) birthday. Their kids are aged 5 and 2 and the young one has never been to a restaurant. We chose this spot as it had gluten friendly options. Our experience was the best the waiter was patient and kind with the kids and completely accommodating. He gave them crayons and coloring sheets to occupy them which was nice to see for a non franchised restaurant. Our meals were prepared reasonably fast , and they served the kids first which was so nice. The kids as well as our portions were so big. I had a cheeseburger and fries their coleslaw has a nice bite to it . I actually enjoyed it thoroughly. My cousin got fish and chips and the fish was great I stole a bite the appetizers were great and the deepfried jalapenos and calamari were soo delicious. I really enjoyed my experience they even gave My cousin a free gluten free desert. I will recommend to others and families especially as they really had a great atmosphere. Thanks for an A1 experience especially after not eating out in a restaurant in 2.5 years. I will be back
