We had a lovely meal here for my daughter's 21st birthday ( 8 of us) . Some adventurous dishes including game as well as the usual pub fare . Food was very good( and we had a range of rabbit , burgers , fish and chips , lamb ) , service very good - the only thing I would say is I think they are trying too hard with the "skin on" chips - just normal , better crispy chips/fries please . Good gluten free options including gluten free beer from the pump . I know it's tricky ,but a more interesting wine list would be great too . All in all , though a great evening .

One of our favourite Sussex pubs, a hidden gem. Delicious locally sourced food, a good wine list and homely surroundings - with very friendly and helpful staff (my partner is gluten and dairy free and they were very accommodating). Cosy in winter and, with the beautiful garden, idyllic in summer. Highly recommended - but book ahead to get a table!
