We came in on a monday afternoon, the atmosphere was very peaceful and comfortable and the staff were very polite and helpful as I am gluten intolerant they showed us the ingredients contained in certain foods. It is nice to be greeted with happy staff! The food was delicious, I had the gammon steak which came with chips a stick of pineapple with two eggs. I recommend coming here!

The most memorable dining experience of 2020. My partner and I had Sunday lunch at this quaint English pub by off chance as we were passing though Pirbright. Despite not booking the staff here were more than accommodating and fitting us in at a time when they were clearly very busy was really appreciated. Despite being busy the service was impeccable from start to finish. My partner has a gluten intolerance and this is usually a difficulty when eating out. Anna, who was our server was more than happy to talk through the gluten free options and assist when we wanted to make an amendment to a dish to make it gluten free. The food was really good and came quickly, and again Anna was superb in checking that everything was ok with our meals. Overall a really pleasant experience that I couldn’t fault, if we ever pass through Pirbright again we will be sure to eat here again!
