Discovered by accident but loved the food. The staff were really friendly and clued up about gluten free options and the menu was varied enough to suit all tastes.

A superb and lazy night away. A super little pub/hotel in the bustling town of Shipston-on-Stour. The Lazy Pug is a great mix of dog-friendly pub with Uber cool London agency in places. We stayed overnight so had dinner, bed and breakfast which were all fabulous. The food is what you’d expect from a good quality pub. Steak was perfect and the tapas ‘small plates’ were delicious. The staff were also great with our gluten and dairy-free diets. The room (we stayed in the Lazy Pug room) was spacious and had a cool roll top bath tub as well as a walk in shower and modern rest room. The bathroom(s)were shielded by a cool living wall with fairy lights which made the room feel very trendy, yet relaxing. Parking is limited on site but there’s a huge FREE car park just a 2min walk away (bridge). Wi-Fi is free and works well. Breakfast was excellent and was served 8:00-11:00. The mix of locals and stop overs made for a great atmosphere and a nice relaxing night away. Bear in mind that you are staying above a pub so our Friday night wasn’t a silent one but we did sleep well in the comfortable bed. The surrounding town all adds to an excellent stay. On Saturday morning we shopped in the boutique shops with the locals and picked up flowers, meat and some dog treats! We feel like we’ve been away from it all. Lovely.
