The Wilford Bridge

Food is great, venue is lovely, only advice is that the indicators for gluten free plate should be clearer. My food should have been gluten free but my partners had the stick in hers with the label (allergy) luckily I could tell which burger bun was infact G/F. However, with deserts, the sticks were the other way round so had to get clarification. A stick with the label “gluten free” would save so much concern.

We stopped for a roast on Sunday while staying locally. The beef was absolutely delicious! Our daughter who is gluten free had a good range of options, they also cater for dairy free. The almond, pear and chocolate tart is gluten and dairy free and again was delicious. We all agreed that we would definitely order that again. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the bar and restaurant is run very efficiently. The time that we spent there the staff were all very attentive and kept things moving without making anyone feel rushed. Our daughter is a wheelchair user. Entry and moving around is fine however they do not have a disabled toilet. There was enough room to get her wheelchair into the main bathroom area but she couldn’t get in the actual stalls without transferring out of her chair. For us it was fine as I was able to assist her, however it would not work for those unable to transfer. That was the only minor negative, it would not put us off visiting again.

Lovely food and great choices on menu, wife happy as had good selection of Gluten Free options. Will definiteley go again and visit the other pubs in the Deben Inns chain.
