**GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY** I just needed to put that out front to give others like us who are afraid to try new restaurants due to gluten allergies/Celiac, know that The Woolworth is a great option. We celebrated our 16th anniversary with dinner here last night. First, we have to give a huge compliment to our server, Annie. She provided excellence service and conversation throughout the night and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and what was gluten free or could be modified to be gluten free. Everything we ate was delicious and we would order again. The crab nachos were amazing. I actually considered ordering a second round they were so good. The calamari was excellent as well. For mains, my wife got a filet with jumbo prawns and I got the ribeye. Both had to be sent back to get closer to medium rare but I would much rather that, than have them come out overcooked. Flavors were delicious on both the steaks and the prawns and the Lyonnaise potatoes and brussels sprouts were excellent sides. Our 7 y/o daughter said the chicken fingers were the best chicken she ever had (I tasted one and they were very good). The drinks were also great as I had a Kentucky Blue and my wife modified a mule with bourbon replacing vodka. I like The Woolworth because you can easily go casual and spend less than $100, or you can get extravagant and spend a lot more, but unlike some of the more pretentious places in DFW, we did not leave feeling like we didn't get our money's worth. And if I could make one recommendation to management, PLEASE create a gluten free menu or mark items on the menu that can be made gluten free or modified to be, so that people know they will have options when they find you and thus you're more likely to draw in more new guests.
