The Wreck at Colchester Harbour

A must try if you are in the area. Very casual and inviting environment. We found ourselves eating in on a busy Saturday but the service was great. Our server was fantastic despite the busy crowd. The Aloha burger was a messy delight. Though not advertised on the menu, gluten-free buns were available and very nicely prepared. Ciders from the local winery were a treat!

Came here because when looking at their website menu ahead of time it made a point of saying in bold letters that gluten-free wraps were available. Sadly, when we arrived and were ready to order, I was told the website and menu were old, outdated and gluten free was not available. I had been very much looking forward to the chicken quesadilla. Opted for the steak with mushrooms and onions and a Caesar salad for my side. The steak was quite under seasoned and full of grizzle, the mushrooms amounted to four dime-sized bits and despite much conversation with the waitress about the whole gluten-free thing, my salad came loaded with croutons that of course were not gluten free. Sigh. Would definitely not recommend.
