Been hearing some good reviews from friends so thought I would give it a try with my dad who has gluten dietary issues so they had 2 separate menus which helped us out I went for the pork belly while dad went for the steak the service was fine yes there was a little wait but that was worth the wait when the food came out the presentation was something new for me but got the thumbs up same with dads steak . The taste of the food didn’t disappoint either the pork just was cooked perfectly with all the fancy herbs plus fancy potatoes to go on the plate it was a very satisfying meal so we hope to call back soon plus the log fire burning had a nice calming effect the service was spot on if there was any slight issue the food quality was banging .

As always the waiting staff make the experience very pleasant even when overstretched by a packed restaurant. So busy that the kitchen was struggling to meet demand but after a very long wait the food was excellent. The new menu is superb, especially for people with Coeliac disease, the one and only cask ale was in good condition and the facelift has really smartened the place up improving the dining atmosphere considerably
