My second visit and love it even more than my first one. This time it was a cold, windy, November afternoon and I needed a cappuccino to warm me up. No DD for me, I want a real coffee from a real coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was very busy when I arrived. It’s such a great place to spend a cold afternoon with friends and a warm cup of joe. It wasn’t busy in the sense that you had to wait to order but a lot of the tables, high tops and couches were occupied.
I ordered my cappuccino and saw they had GF muffins. I don’t have Celiac Disease but I find the less wheat I eat the better I feel so i try and eat GF foods as
often as I can. I’ll be the first to admit
that some GF items don’t taste as
good as the regular ones, but if I didn’t know it I would have never known my blueberry muffin was GF. It was moist, flavorful,
tasty and fresh. I couldn’t have been more pleased with it. My cappuccino was
spot on and i enjoyed them both at a high top in the back of the shop. It’s a real
working coffee shop as there are huge bags of coffee beans all around.
This is the kind of coffee shop where people linger with friends, do work on a laptop or
read a book(there’s a small free library too). It’s kind of like Starbucks only without the pretense. If you get your coffee to stay you get in a large real coffee cup, unlike DD or Starbucks. That alone is worth points in my book. It has a warm, cozy, friendly atmosphere, unlike a corporate laid out DD or Starbucks.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. They are open year round and are a great addition to my area. I look forward to many more warm, inviting days at Three Fins this winter.
