Three Salmons Hotel

We definitely picked a little gem for our visit to Wales! The hotel was lovely, our room was large and the bed was SO comfortable. There was parking AND breakfast which is hard to come by nowadays! The breakfast itself was so delicious and cooked to perfection. We did ask for gluten free bread on the breakfast request and we completely understand not all places can accommodate this but kitchen staff didn’t mention it on both mornings which was unfortunate but hardly a negative! We ate dinner on one night which was great and our party of about 20 were very well looked after. The hotel is located within walking distance to amenities and some lovely little shops. Also we walked along River Usk and up to the castle, both incredibly beautiful. Last but by no means least I have to say that the service we received from the staff was second to none. Every member of staff we came into contact with were polite, friendly and super helpful. Not only did this reflect the true Welsh reputation for being wonderful and welcoming but also hats off to the owners for employing such a great team of people. A special mention goes to the staff member who stayed up until 3am to ensure we were back safe when we got stuck at a venue following issues with a cab firm. We really appreciated it. We would definitely choose to stay here again when we come back to the area!
